Lighting Control

Spectron also specializes in lighting control, and in order to produce the maximum visual effect we carefully plan the lighting locations and circuits while conceiving the lighting scheme.

We are a main distributor for Lutron Control systems. They are our main manufacturer of choice, as they are well established and can provide more than just lighting control. Their selection of motorised blind and curtain control equipment is manufactured in house and is one of the most reliable and silent systems available, they can also be integrated seamlessly with the lighting control system.

Project Management & Design Collaboration

We can provide all the necessary lighting and lighting control requirements to contribute to the organisation and development of a project. From the initial design stage, we can provide drawings, luminaire schedules and circuit schedules which will assist the builders and electricians and add to the smooth running of a project. We have extensive experience in project managing all types of domestic and commercial projects and can assist the construction team whenever required.

The Process

Consultation

Step 1: Consultation

At the initial meeting we would discuss the project in detail in order to establish the style of the property and the intended interior design. We would then discuss the client’s preferences and ideas, and advise on the seamless integration of lighting and lighting control into the fabric of the building.

Concept Design

Step 2: Concept Design

Once the Architectural style and interior design have been established and we have a clear vision of the project, we would then arrange a mutually convenient time to present concept drawings and demonstrate samples of luminaires and lighting control.

Full Proposal

Step 3: Full Proposal

After a full understanding of the concept has been established and budgets have been agreed, we would transform the concept into a design and development package, including CAD or pdf drawings, lighting schedules and specifications, circuit and load schedules, and cost schedules for the luminaires and lighting control equipment. This information would provide the Architects and electricians with detailed information in order to understand the concept and obtain accurate costs for the installation.

Project Coordination & Management

Step 4: Project Coordination & Management

When the project is ready for the lighting installation, we would attend regular site meetings and work closely with the design team and contractors to ensure that the project proceeds smoothly and efficiently. We would organise delivery of all lighting components and control equipment when required and make sure that all products are installed correctly. We would also provide any other relevant information required for a particular project.

Programming & Commissioning

Step 5: Programming & Commissioning

At this stage we would programme the lighting control system to suit the exact requirements of each area of the property. We would also ensure that all architectural details, and elements of the interior design are illuminated to enhance the design and provide the correct ambiance to all areas.
